Edinburgh

Andy and I arrived in Glasgow yesterday morning and spent the day back in Oban preparing for leaving again--Andy for Southampton and a five-week research cruise and I for a few days in Edinburgh. I'm here now in the tourist office near Waverly Bridge, just over the way from the hostel where I'm staying the next two nights.

I have so much to write about... three weeks in the U.S. and then being back in Oban just for one day and now being here in Edinburgh after an afternoon of wandering around feeling jetlagged. At one instant being ravenously hungry and then the next instant just feeling vaguely sleepy and pleasantly dumb. The sunshine in the park next to Edinburgh Castle made me feel relaxed and sun-sedated. Now my task is to find a place for dinner and then perhaps read through my tourist information leaflets before having an early night.

Photos coming soon!

  1. Make sure you contact Kristin in Edinburgh! It would be a hoot if you two got together.

  2. I wonder who the first person to get jetlag was, and what they thought was happening.
