Close-up on nature

Whereas my camera is a bit more portable than Andy's, I can't compete with his super macro lens for exquisite detail and sharpness. Here are some of our efforts at nature photography on our recent trip.

What we were told is a camel spider that was in our tent at Mt. Pinos, California, patiently allowing its picture to be taken by Andy

  1. Hi Marieke - glad to see all your new pictures. Your camel spider is a female Eremobates, quite gravid by the look of her. I am surprised it stayed still for the picture, they are normally extremely active.
