We've been frantically cooking enchiladas, chopping snacks and getting ready... now all we have to do is start reading.
Our plan is to read for most of the day, with breaks for dinner and a walk. I don't plan on staying up all night but we'll see!
Good luck to everyone and see you shortly!

For the first hour mini-challenge, here is a little bit about me:
I am reading from home in Oban, Argyll, Scotland.
Three facts about me:
- I am asthmatic but last year I ran a half marathon.
- Many people assume I'm vegetarian but I'm actually not.
- I love reading feminist poetry.
I have 5 books in my pile for today.
My goals for today are to have fun, finish a couple of books, and enjoy spending the day with bookish friends. This is my first read-a-thon.
If you can run a marathon, you can definitely finish some books during the Readathon! Looking forward to seeing your progress!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous about the half-marathon - this is on my wishlist to do but I started having health problems when I was training two years ago. Those look to be resolving now so I hope to get back to it. I had asthma as a child so I know that was a great accomplishment for you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day. I'm heading out to the sunshine in a little while when it warms up here.
