All I do is read

The tables have turned. When I learned to knit, taught by Grandma Marge back in March, I thought I would never read another book again, since I couldn't read and knit at the same time.

Now, with only 2 balls of boring black and grey bamboo wool I just can't get excited about, minus my favorite pair of heritage knitting needles (a casualty of the flight over here), my extensive stash of wool left behind in California, I can't seem to get back into knitting.

Instead, all those books that I've kept, just in case I get around to reading them someday, have been lining up for attention.

Plus, if I host the Thanksgiving Dinner & Book Exchange (2nd annual) that was such a success last year, then I'll need to amass a stack of books for giving away. Shouldn't be a problem.

  1. Those heritage needles weren't the green bakelite ones, were they? That would be a shame. We're going over polymers in my material science class, and I think of those.

  2. Through different actions-- a new cat and back pains that kept me from leaning over my crafting (knitting and quilting) I've come to the same result, well, except that I'm not reading much either. Mostly falling asleep early in the evenings a lot.

Hope you're well. Sometime you really need to go to the Isle of Arran and meet the ranger at Brodick Castle. I think you and Andy would enjoy the company of Stephen, who is an incredible naturalist, reads interesting things, and is fascinated by the west coast of the US.
