Back in Oregon

I'm back in Corvallis! I drove up in the little truck this weekend. Even though it only ought to take ten hours or so, I think it takes me about fourteen because I drive so slow. Slowly?

Do I drive slow, as in my driving (noun, the thing that I do) is slow; or do I drive slowly, as in, I drive in a slow manner? Does "driving slowly" mean that my reflexes behind the wheel are sedated?

My hand moves toward the turn signal like the gentle waving of a kelp frond in the shifting tide?

The little truck doesn't like to go more than about 60 miles per hour, so that's what I mean when I say I drive slow. Plus, I was trying a new photographic technique: taking photos while driving. Edgy!

I was on foot for these shots in Mt Shasta City, California, on Sunday morning:

This incredible view of Mt Shasta from a side road in Weed, CA:

Oregon welcomed me back to the Willamette Valley with these gorgeous clouds near Eugene:

I still need a bit of practice to perfect my technique. But I think I managed to stay in my lane for most of the shots.
